Who We Are.
ISB is an English teaching Intercultural school with a strong community spirit offering progressive and student-centred education for aged 2-15-year-old children.
With a dedicated ELC centre for early learning, a multi-purpose resource centre, a playing field and outdoor courts we are situated in the beautiful tree-filled heritage area of Taman Kencana, Bogor City.
As a learning community, we are committed to growing together with a focus on excellence and development, challenge and discovery, and Mind, Heart, Hands integrated learning.
Our vision looks towards preparing students with great teamwork, communication skills and literacies in all the key areas for success in a global world. We embrace the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum framework delivered by brilliant, caring and dedicated teachers and staff.
We have come a long way.
ISB started as a dream to educate expatriate children living in and around Bogor in 1974. The school was named Bogor Expatriate School (BES). The founders were progressive in their thinking and actions and thanks to partner-donors the school procured a building and grounds in Taman Kencana, a beautiful historic area right near the centre of Bogor.

Over the decades ISB has educated hundreds of children from all over the world. Those who have passed through the school have often returned with fond memories of a community-style school with a focus on real learning and development and a warmth that has stayed with them forever. International Baccalaureate (IB)
In 2002 ISB was one of the first schools to become an IB World School, still progressive and forward-thinking as the IB was new to Indonesia at that time.
After Government Education reforms in 2017 BES(Bogor Expatriate School) Became The Intercultural School of Bogor (ISB) as it is named today. We embraced the National Curriculum and gained a whole school rating with the Indonesian Department of Education. We are now able to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the National curriculum simultaneously giving students more choices in their futures.

ISB turns 50 This year!!!
This year, 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of ISB. We maintain the early founder’s vision to offer holistic and progressive education and we embrace 21st-century educational prerogatives and approaches, seeking to be the best small numbers, big-hearted school in the Bogor regency.
